Grizzly Fat Bike
Overview Design Geometry Details Finishes Ordering
Shreddable Art: a remarkably-agile fat bike in buttery Titanium.
We built the Grizzly because we wanted a bike that could fit the most capable fat bike tires available, without compromise to geometry, or pedaling efficiency - or fun. And we wanted it to be beautiful.
Inspired by modern trail bike design, the geometry is more forward looking than other fat bikes on the market: short chainstays for playfulness, low bottom bracket for stability, long reach and steep seat angle for an efficient pedaling position and to center your weight in the bike, compatibility with long-travel dropper posts, and a head angle that balances precise steering with sure-footedness.
The latest generation of Grizzly fat bike makes judicious use of advanced additive manufacturing (3D-printing) technology - head tube, dropouts, and chainstay yoke are made from 6Al/4V Titanium by Selective Laser Melting - resulting in a frame that is a unique combination of cutting edge fabrication, and classic looks.
Advanced Design
The Grizzly's foundation is a wide T47 bottom bracket shell, and 197mm rear spacing, that maximizes rear-end stiffness and tire clearance. The main triangle is made from oversized, shaped, seamless, Cold Worked Stress Relieved (CWSR) 3Al/2.5V Titanium tubing, to create a ride that is both lively and precise.
The chainstays and 3D printed yoke are highly optimized to squeeze out every last mm of tire clearance without lengthening the rear-center: 26x4.8" or 27.5x4.3" tires can be run on 85mm rims. They are compatible with up to a 32T chainring, and the narrowest Q-factor fat bike cranks.
The seamlessly integrated, 3D printed dropouts incorporate a post mount that protects the rear brake, and creates a stiff platform by triangulating it between the stays. The dropouts use the Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH), are Sram Transmission (direct-mount rear derailleur) compatible, and utilize a conical, Syntace-style head for maximum stiffness and precision.

Finishes
We can accommodate a range of finish requests, with various choices for the frame's overall texture, and for the contrasting logos. Our favorite is a bright-brushed frame finish with polished logos. We can also give the frame a satin media-blasted finish with brushed or polished logos. If you like, we can add custom decals to your frame to make it even more unique, and/or combine the finish textures with anodizing to create some color. Let us know what you have in mind and we will try to make it a reality.
